The Mekong Diaries
The Mekong River, one of the longest rivers in the world, stretching through 6 nations from Tibet to Viet Nam, is a river of people facing a perfect storm of development and climate change. A pulse through the lives of 70 million of the world’s poorest people until recently the Mekong was untouched by industry, navigation or dams. But now, like a candle burning from both ends the Mekong is showing the first signs of collapse.
This is a series about how the future of the natural world will define our shared fate: a journey down the Mekong, the people’s river.
